60 Minutes: Graphika Cited in Story on AI Revealing Images And Schools
The rise of generative AI has created a new, troubling problem for students in schools across America and the world.

CBS News' 60 Minutes cited insights and data from Graphika in a new report about dozens of "nudify" websites and apps that can turn real photos of someone into realistic nude images.
The show, America's oldest and longest running newsmagazine, spoke with a 14-year-old girl named Francesca Mani, whose life was instantly changed when male classmates used the websites to create revealing images of her.
Correspondent Anderson Cooper reported that he and producers had found nearly 30 similar incidents in U.S. schools over the previous 20 months, in addition to more globally.
He also noted that there are more than a hundred "nudify" websites where creating this type of content is cheap and easy for anyone with a credit card and that "a quick search is all it takes to find them." Cooper reported that, "Clothoff is one of the most popular, with more than 3 million visits last month, according to Graphika, a company that analyzes social networks."
Graphika's expertise was cited in light of the company's previous groundbreaking work on advances in technology and how they have impacted non-consensual intimate imagery. That includes our 2023 report A Revealing Picture, which detailed how AI-generated "undressing" images were moving from niche pornography discussion forums into a scaled and monetized online business model.
